I was playing as a visitor to an apartment in San Myshuno when a message came that a fire had broken out. My sims were outside setting off fireworks and I didn’t see a fire, so I figured it was brief or a false alarm. Then when my sims went back to the apartment, a fire was blazing!! It had started from a “fireproof” fireplace and had spread to the furniture in that one room. I don’t know if I’d say it’s been happening more frequently but this is the first time I’ve had an upgraded fireplace set fire to anything. I actually appreciate that it is still possible. I think I will stop fireproofing my fireplaces because it was exciting, lol.
