@babajayne Like I stated, I started making sure all fireplaces were fireproofed after I lost my (newly restarted) singer Sim to a fire from the fireplace in his room. He was living with his now married sister in her husband's inherited ancient castle. While it was 'fun' on the one side to actually lose a Sim (something that could occur more regularly in Sims2), it was still shocking to lose Erik. Now, I'm slightly paranoid. LOL
Apparently the toilet fires has been toned down. I only experienced them twice in this entire time. I was unaware the fireproofed fires were a bug. Thanks for the tip.

Apparently, the upgraded fireplace catching/spreading fire is a bug that shows its ugly head from time to time, it seems, all the way back to 2014. Somewhat current thread here . They've been asking for saves since March, don't know if they still need them.
