Has your Sim ever been invited to another Sim's party - birthday, whatever?

We have a serious situation developing on potentially unfair treatment of some players's Sims. None of my Sims have ever been invited to parties - I've played quite a few Sims - played families - v...

My sims get invited to birthday parties. But not to house parties/weddings although I think since I have MCCC I should get to go to these random/autonomous parties of all sorts. I also wish there were more party options!!
