Have extreme emotion deaths become easier?

The other night I was playing my family, and the oldest daughter who had children by Raj Rasoya called him over and she proposed. He is unflirty, slob and foodie. I had them elope, and I switched to watch my toddler get up to mischief. When I came back Raj collapsed and died from hysteria. He was in a playful mood before they got married so I guess that did it. He collapsed right behind the couch near a window and while Grim did show up he just stood there doing nothing. I kept waiting for him to take the soul, but he stood in front of the couch and so I had to quit without saving sadly. That is the first death in like a very long time and I do have the parenthood pack, so I don't know if there is a correlation or not.
