Have household collections changed?
I could swear that prior to Seasons (or the pre-Seasons patch), my legacy family's household collection showed everything they had ever collected, even if the item had been collected by a great-great grandparent who had long since moved out and gone to the Great Llama. Now, the 'household' collection only shows what my currently selected Sim has collected, even though the family still has everything in the treasure chest. To get everything in the treasure chest to show in the household collection, I had to transfer everything from the treasure chest to my Sim's inventory. (It stayed in the household collection when I transferred it back to the chest, but when Hollie moves out and her daughter starts her own family, I'm going to have to do it again.)
I can see that for an individual Sim working on the collection aspiration, they shouldn't be credited for collecting items someone else collected, but it's hard to tell what the household is missing. Hollie's mother had completed the egg collection, but Hollie still had to collect all the frogs to get the 'complete a collection' requirement, and that makes sense. However, on a household level, it was nice to see at a glance what the household had collected over the generations.
(I do like the little gifts thunderstorms leave for my Sims - it makes up for having to replace their outdoor lights all the time. They had an intense storm last night, and the garden was littered with elements.)
