Only once.
My male Sim couple adopted a baby. The other father was at work and the other one had a free day, so he was taking care of the baby. He had just aged up to an adult and I wanted to give him new outfits that suited better for his age. I made him feed the baby, change her diaper and cuddle her. Right after that I made him go to CAS using a mirror. I was there for about 20 minutes and when I was ready and came back to the game I got the announcement that the baby was taken away because of neglect.
The baby was fed and taken care of just few seconds before entering CAS. Obviously there was some bug that made the time move on in the game even if I wasn't on game mode. It was awful because my Sims weren't allowed to adopt a new baby. I had to make a child for them in CAS. Toddlers weren't released yet when this happened.
I checked all notifications and I never even got a warning, she was just taken away.
I will never go to CAS via mirror or wardrobe anymore if there is a baby or a toddler in the household. I don't know if the bug has been fixed or if it was just a one time glitch.
