- SimsFan199220157 years agoSeasoned NewcomerI created a new save after Seasons was released and I’ve had the bug. It’s not as bad as other examples in this thread but it’s still annoying when it happens. I must check my other save to see if it has the bug too.
- I have been having this happen as well with one of my sim's dogs. It is non-stop "pet me" all the way to almost the top of the screen. It stomps my sims queue too where they will actually have to stop and do whatever for the dog like a slave. It is quite annoying and I have been thinking about re-homing the dog (just can't bring myself too just yet) because it is such a big distraction for my sims. I hope they can hurry and figure out how to patch this bug soon because my poor sims will starve their selves just because "queue stopper" pup won't stop being so needy.
- burnished_dragon7 years agoNew SpectatorMine all seem to be getting sick - a lot. At least two trips to the vet per 1 sim week rotation.
Oh wait I don't have Season - so was it one of the patches? - Got it with the dog now. It's actually beyond a joke.

The 'pet me' actions just stream up and up to the point I can't do anything as my Sim's queue is full. - I'm glad to see that it's not just happening in my game... also, I'm happy to know that it's NOT because I gave my cat the 'Affectionate' trait. I understand the concept of pets needing attention, but OMG! This has been extremely annoying! I hope they fix this issue soon! Until then, I guess I'll just have to deal with the mod that prevents it. It's so sad that we actually need to resort to using mods that do a better job at fixing problems with the game all because the developers won't fully test their games before releasing them. The Sims is one of the worst games ever when it comes to glitches and bugs!
Sadly, this is only one of many bugs that have come with 'Seasons' and the recent patch. "tobumon;c-16571472" wrote:
I can't believe you guys instantly get rid of your pets once they 'become annoying.' I hope you don't do this with real pets. I would never abandon my SimDogs Buddy and Darnell due to bugs!!!
Oh, give me a break! These are literally virtual pets we're talking about... in other words, they have no actual feelings. If putting a pet up for adoption in the game is what helps people actually be able to enjoy playing their game without the constant interruptions from a certain bug, then who cares? This specific bug is extremely annoying... you act like people should just not eat, sleep, etc... and just pet their dog or cat 24/7 (which is basically what this bug has been causing our Sims to do).- My pets stopped being 'extra needy.' Also, you guys don't seem to love your SimPets as much as your SimHumans. Simpets are my life, 'cause I can't get real pets. I'd never give them up, even with glitches.
SimPet lives matter. - BlueSeaWaves7 years agoSeasoned AceI don't see it as my pet being needy, more so the problem is with the sims needing to constantly pet them.I got pets just before seasons so I wasn't used to them, but I don't have a problem with them now. It stopped though, but it was annoying they constantly wanted to pet the dog.
- DeKaythePUNK7 years agoSeasoned VanguardNope. I'm not seeing this bug. Weird but I should be oh so blessed cuz right now, my sim's house has nothing much other than a food bowl and a cheap litter box. XD

I don't have a dog, but my cat keeps asking for clean litter box and she has the top of the line self-fleaning model. I've tried selling the old one and buying a new one but after a while she's begging again.
That's an old bug that has happened in my game since pets was released. I made a bug report on EA's tech page. Here's the link if you want to click me too or send the devs a save.

Thanks for the link; I gave it a Me Too. Not sure if it's when she's wandering the neighborbood. I had to save and exit my game because my cat got stuck on the counter even though she's supposedly learned not to jump on counters; her traits are fluffy (she's an American Longhair/Tabby mix), Prowler and I think Clever.
The pet queuong action is a known bug that they're still trying to fix, hopefully by this month's patch day. :| .
