Heartbreaking Sim moments.

Are there any things you could not watch? Any sim game counts.

For me mine happened in Sims 3.

I had a cas made sim with the Family Oriented trait. I played on long lifespan but she eventually found the one. After several successful dates they married and as both had a wish to have a baby, I started the family. I had given her the fertility trait, as she was also ambitious. 3 Days later they welcomed triplets, they where both great parents, so as soon as the moodlet ran out and they wanted to try again, I let them. 3 days later they welcomed twins.

Since 5 newborns was chaos I decided to age up the triplets, first 1 went according to plan. Dad was taking them to cake, mum was starting on training. Number 2 did not go according to plan. The cake caught fire (spontaneous combustion), they had a smoke alarm in the kitchen and it was an open plan kitchen /dinner/ living room. Everything in the dining room area was on fire including the dad, I had him try to put the newborn down and go take a shower. I also had the mum try to put him out but everything auto canceled, the only thing that worked was sending the 1 toddler to a bedroom.
Dad had an Expire notice above him, he walked to a small corner of living room that was not on fire, kissed his newborn put her down and died.

The firemen arrived just after and gave my sim a warning, to be more careful next time.

My Sims bars where all in the orange red, I knew she was dying but was not sure if social services would come for children first. It was something that was inevitable and not something I had planned or could watch. I saved and exited the game. 5+ years later never returned to that save.

  • My sim had just married her husband and was expecting, they watched a comedy and both became hysterical. I was controlling her having her cook and pee when I look over and the husband who was just watching civic public access had laughed himself to death and was just an urn and some dust...
  • I find it heartbreaking when animals die :disappointed: however I do like the animation when the greaper comes to collect them. Makes me feel slightly better
  • I think the developers have read Discworld. I dread when my animals eventually die... but I appreciate the detail that went into this.
  • Bob and Eliza Pancakes have 2 kids in my current save. Eliza was at the Willow Creek gym in winter and froze to death, on Winterfest eve.

Her daughter was crying in her bed on Winterfest.
  • I hated that event in the Sims 2 where one sim could be left at the altar. The way the sim flinched at the sound of their fiance slamming the car door always got me.

  • My sims were all peacefully sleeping one night, Granny and Grandpa in their room, mum and dad tucked in and the kids fast asleep.. so as you do, I hit x3 speed and went into superspeed since everyone was sleeping. Speed auto returned to normal as the grandparents got out of bed at the same time and then both died of old age at the same time, one on each side of the bed. Even Grim cried. They'd been child BFFs and teen sweethearts so I figure neither could live without the other. :'(
