Unless it was answered, you probably have to plan a new event as the sims have to be asked in a conversation for them to show up. I also have had four ceremonies and only the last did the officiant work after the patch.
I reccommend calling sims to aisle then resetting them before starting that helped me but if your game is still responding to thise exact bugs it may mot work.
