HELP! Celebrities are invading my game!
Is it just me or are celebrities too common in Get Famous? It makes sense that you are able to see a lot of them in the new world, but c'mon I had like 5 celebrities at the same time in my restaurant ...

Hmm, I thought that this is what you would avoid if you turned fame off :/ I can imagine having a few dedicated stars but no way no how do I want to have random generated celebrities. Haven’t bought the EP yet, want to see what happens in people’s saves first.
Unfortunately, it looks like the game "needs" a certain amount of celebrities, so it will spawn random ones even if you have fame turned off. The Starlight Accolades happened in my game yesterday, and the game spawned new ones continuously during the ceremony. I noticed the game also spawned new celebrities when my sim was simply exploring Del Sol Valley. It's the exact same problem that we've had since City Living, too: 9 out of 10 spawn with the same Japanese names, most have weird body shapes, and once they're in the world the game prioritizes them over other NPCs so they'll show up everywhere.
I have all the celebrity premades in my game, plus five that I made myself, but the game still felt the need to spawn new celebrities and even gave one of them an award at the ceremony.
I'm going to see if MC Command Center has a setting that will prevent this, because this is super annoying. There's literally no point to the celebrity system if the game is going to ignore the ones that already exist.

I assumed as you said that a certain number of celebrities were needed and could have made that work with my saves. Make a few ghosts, vampires and powerful individuals that were famous and then let it roll in the background. If the game ignores these celebrities that are already in the save and continuously generates new ones then that is a problem. Thank you again, this is exactly the kind of information that I am looking for.
This pack is a “fun-to-have” for me but then there has to be some kind of control over the celebrities. Maybe MCCC will save us? I am currently slowly getting my game in order. Updating old mods, taking a look at my saved households and loots. When I’m back in full swing I will get my Patreon going again. If I can have my celebrities in the game, how many as the game needs to keep rolling, and it won’t spit out new ones all the time then I will get it. Patch or mod, somehow I want to be able to choose myself who will be a celebrity in my saves.
