Help! Cursor Not Responding To Select Button (PS4)

I just recently bought the sims 4 deluxe edition and every dlc and 2 hours into gameplay my X button on ps4 became completly unresponsive is this a known issue and if so when will the game get a update I feel like I wasted over $100 for a broken game and not to mention when it was working the lag to inputs and the environment and actions was horrible and while trying to fast forward x3 sometimes the game would just keep playing normal time and or time would go backwards 20 or so minutes then try and speed bacl up. Optomize the game please.
