  • Go through the living quarters and make sure there is not something missing that your sim would need to take care of their needs.
  • Probably their fun meter. Make sure there is something to for entertainment like a radio, pong table,tv etc.
  • You need to get to know your sim (by observation).... for example;

    I had one particular roommate, obviously must have been a mermaid, though she wouldn't admit it, who spent a lot of time swimming. She was also addicted to showering. I'm guessing one of her needs were to keep somewhat wet. Luckily I had two bathrooms in the house and she could shower/lounge in water whenever she wanted (kinda).

    Suddenly, I got the message popup explaining that her needs weren't being met, and she may have to move if it wasn't fixed. I looked around the house to see what her complaint could be, and saw one of the showers were dirty. I had my sim clean the shower tub and a few minutes later I got another popup explaining she was more comfortable now, and thanked me for providing.

    Apparently mermaid roommates need 2 shower areas. (at least this one did lol) and don't let one of those showers get dirty. He/she may complain.

    You need to observe your roommates addictions. What do they do a lot? Another example.... I had a roommate that was overly addicted to cooking. I generaly knew where to find her. Chances are, she was in the kitchen making yet another cake. lol. If the stove broke down, she'd likely threaten to move.

    THANK YOU!
  • All my roommates keep moving out. I built a brand new house, installed everything any sim could ever want, right down to a skating rink, swimming pool, bowling alley, tv's, radios, bookcases hampers, laundry facilities, at least 10 full bathrooms (an ensuite in every bedroom plus full ones for the main part of each floor of the house), most comfortable beds and couches, chess, game, easel, arcade, a photography studio, telescope, microscope, craft room, a music room with every instrument, I made sure no matter what skill a sim wanted they could find everything in the house, and I even hired a butler to ensure everything was kept clean and fixed and yet they still all complain and move out. Pointless to get a roommate, better to ask them to move in and send them off to work and use the money they earn as rent.
  • I played with the roommates for a couple of days now and finally found the fix. I built three different homes. Put everything I could think they might need in them and they still complained and moved out. I found out that most of that doesn't matter. I had four rooms created for roommates. I put in beds, shelfs, desks, computers, coffee pots, mini fridges TV's, radios, shelves. Still moved out. But when I bought every single skill book available in the bookcase, they were all happy and I've been playing this game for three days without another threat to move out. I was able to delete the coffee pots and mini fridges from their rooms. So every sim doesn't run in and out of all rooms eating and drinking like nuts. They all use the kitchen as intended. As long as there are places to set out personal inventory stuff, they are happy. Also helps if you have MC Command. Fill all their needs as soon as they move in so you're not combatting prior need issues. I also set motive decay in MCCC at 75. Hopes this helps anyone still searching for an answer.
  • I had this problem, easiest solution is just to shift click on the sims, cheat need, make happy when they complain. A pop up will come up saying they're satisfied now and they won't move out. Just do this every time and they should stay
