My sims is currently knitting clothes but for some reason he can't add them to the household wardrobe to have them show up in CAS. The option is greyed out and tells me it is already added in CAS. But when I go to CAS it is not available. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there something I am overlooking?I know there is a cheat to unlock all the clothes but that kind of defeats the purpose of knitting them because it unlocks everything at once. So I would prefer not to use that cheat.

I’ve had it happen a couple times but not consistently. For me if I sell that item on plopsy and knit a new one it usually works okay. I’m with you on the cheating though. I’d rather do it myself.

Yes, I know the cheat. But that unlocks all of them permanently for that household. I want my sim to actually earn them one by one and only wear what he made himself. That is the entire point of knitting them, at least for me.

I had quite forgotten, I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. My sim knitted a dress and gifted it to her roomie. The dress is greyed out in CAS but it's in her inventory. I couldn't figure out how to unlock it.

there is another thread talking about gifting knitted clothes. This might help with this problem. It's here in this forum under Is gifting knitted items difficult? Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to link to a different page in the forum.

That thread was about gifting an item to someone else if I understand correctly. This is about unlocking items in CAS. So unfortunately no answer for my question in there.

Sometimes it looks to me like the clothing is locked, but you can click the recolors and select what you’ve unlocked.
