Help with BFFs

Given that you've done all the other quests successfully, doing this last one would be pretty easy if it wasn't bugged, so I wouldn't call it cheating per se.

Besides, who knows when they'll fix this problem.

There is no problem, people are just lazy and spoiled. How else can I describe encouraging cheating for the sakes of avoiding a challenge.

You can drop friendship (green) line on your BFF and after that get another BFF.
I did that with my two sims as had no problem. The problem is the trait itself. Currently it's so utterly broken (not on every sim and not in everyone's game) I suggest not risking with getting it but skipping that aspiration till the trait gets fixed.

Yes, that's one way to do it for now, but I'm pretty sure the aspiration goal wasn't meant to be done this way only when they thought of it.

I had the same "problem". But then I was thinking. I don't know, but english is not my native language, but I think this goal was "have HAD 5 BFFs". And this means it was in past, and not in present. I mean if we look the grammar. So I think it is not a Bug. In real life you have just one REAL best friend at the same time too. :) So the goal is not to have at same time 5 BFF but simple had them. You don't need to fight with them, just the time goes and they will drop it. Then you can ask an other to be BFF.

Oh and choose not a family member, because in my oppinion our relatives/family is always a BFF without "asking". You can't choose them, you get them as you born. :) While friends comes and goes as you live your life and as you change/grow. Or if you want to be with one of your family member, then be with them the 5th and last one. So after the goal it will stay.

Please no offense I was just telling a logic in this "bug".

The problem come when that BFF is also part of your Sims family (Husband,wife, sibling etc) in those case it suck being mean to the other just to break the BFF. For me is a bug :) @Trilliana82

It doesn't suck. The aspiration has tasks, and this one is pretty challenging (although they could have set just 3 BFFs, setting up 4th becomes very annoying, luckily the 5th one is the last).

Lower the friendship line, fullfill the requitement with more making BFF wiht sims, later get back to be BFF with the same first sim again.
I did exactly that without problems.

Thanks so much!.. I dont like to cheat but if it is bugged then there is not many better choices. i didn't wanna kill or unfriend my BFF. =(

It is not bugged.
Cheating is cheating.

There's two ways:
Wait until your best friend is no longer your best friend and then make a new bff.

OR

After making a best friend, make them your enemy, then make another best friend, and so on.

Remember that the other sims might have a BFF already so you should go play their household and check because the same happened to me!
