I blame EA the corporation, not the sims team or Maxis which was bought by EA. EA (the corporation) doesn't care about the fanbase just the money from the fanbase. Other problems come from unrealistic time limits to create a game/DLC. There is first the creation of 3d models "the front end" this is usually done with stock animations, stock models to cut downtime in the larger corporations like EA. It cuts down on the kind of work I do but I don't work on video games I work on commercials, ads shorts and film. However, then there is the "back end" which involves coding and programming. That takes a bit more time. I don't know if there are short cuts with coding and programming that save time. That is not where my knowledge lies. The new packs aren't given enough time to create. Not playtested well enough. You see cutting from stock models. You see stock animation that isn't tweaked out to be more realistic. If the Sims team was given ample time to do their jobs they would put out a far superior product I honestly believe. I would rather wait on a pack or a kit to be made with minimal issues, problems, quirks and bugs.
Please EA, give the sims team they need to create something amazing.
