Hidden "traits" for more than beds?

I know, since a long time ago now we can officially "claim" a bed for a Sim. But that's not how it used to be. They would learn out of habit and more often than not use the same bed.

Now, there are several other items that seem to work like that still. Computers? I don't know, but if I have two computer desks in an office nine times out of ten a Sim uses the same one he or she used last time. Same with High Chairs for toddlers. If I have a toddler ask to be fed, the parent put it down in the same one (if you have more than one) as last time unless it's occupied.

I have noticed this behavior on other things as well. Anyone else thought about this?
