I'm currently using Willow Creek as the Shenandoah Valley (of which I've never seen in RL). Newcrest will be the Settlements my family removed to back in 1773. That area eventually became East Tennessee. For a short time I played with cc, but a patch threw the cc out-of-whack and I've since restarted just playing the families with a contemporary bent to them. Oh, well, I'm having fun.
Thought I'd add a few images:
The basic cabin of the 18th century: Disregard the clothesline, they actually laid their clothing out to dry over bushes.
