Me too. It’s what is most disappointing about this pack. I’ve been wanting more gameplay objects. I’m so tired of systems.
I would’ve even been happy with three more small items. Like candy making machine. Which doesn’t seem to be that involved like pottery and making or tattooing. So three objects would have made me happy. Something like candle making in Eco lifestyle. So we could’ve had the dance bar again, maybe something sports related, maybe a new instrument or something only for kids.

I agree. I'm happy that we will be getting the Pottery Wheel & that it's not gigantic like the one in Sims 3.🤩 However, I was also hoping for the Invention Task Table would make a come back along with a sim being able to invent the Time Machine. Oh well.😪

Same here. Pottery looks great and detailed but where are the other hobbies? Candy making and tattoos are interesting but they are more businesses than hobbies . On the road map there is a thread, next to the old lady. I would have loved for that to mean we got sewing. But I expect that would have been part of the trailer if it was included.
So far the EP looks like businesses and hobby (singular). But the home business might be useful to sell items from or give classes for for already existing hobbies like painting, woodcrafting, knitting,...

We have a glass blowing machine in sims 3 along with a venue that comes with it....I missed the pottery wheel?
What EP has the pottery wheel in sims 3? OMG how did this escape me all these years.👀

l was so looking forward to the hobbies coming with this pack, but it seems as if there’s only pottery. Tattoos and making/selling sweets don’t count as hobbies for me. It seems that this pack is really just about the system of being able to set up your own business through doing your hobbies, rather than actually about the hobbies themselves. As the system is based on the For Rent system, and we need to buy other packs to make full use of the many different hobby opportunities available, I’m disappointed with what I’ve seen so far.

This is my biggest disappointment about the pack. I've wanted a hobbies EP for years and then we get one with... one new hobby?
In the trailer I spotted the bonsai tree, an easel and an activity table in the town square. All base game.
What I really needed from this EP was new gameplay objects. Not everything has to be a huge feature with new skills etc. I just wanted some small items like sketchbooks, new sports/fitness equipment, binoculars etc. And we still can't write novels by hand despite there being at least 2-3 different journal objects from various packs.

The game has hobbies in other EP's, Packs or kits that you can utilize in this EP.
Jewelry shops and classes, Wood working classes, Archeology, Fishing, Knitting, Photography, Graphic Design/3D design, Coding and Digital Painting courses, Cooking classes, Personal Fitness Trainer, Literature and book writing course, a real bookstore, Canning or Herbalism, Horticulture, Wine shop with classes on making wine...This could go deep.
It's not new gameplay but it's gameplay that you can extend further in this new EP.
I hope this new EP creates a space for musicians and bands along with other hobbies and skills that are introduce in future kits, packs, or EP's.

Cross-pack play is always appreciated but this pack should be able to stand on its own. Literally using the word Hobbies in the title and then only including one hobby is disingenuous imo. They should have just called it a Businesses EP.

It stands on it's own because it introduces new gameplay with pottery, a new world and it adds to gameplay that most of us are bored with. If multifunctional lots exist in this EP and we can run a business from home, then it stands on it's own in my opinion.

I too was expecting at least 3-4 new hobbies, sewing, kite flying, ballet dancing, a new collection? It would not need to go very deep, just new ways to personalize our sims. Anyway, I think the ticket kiosk will allow us to find a lot more ways than we might see at this point. We could literally make up any silly interest and decorate a matching room, and chage visitors from stepping inside. Hobbies can be more than crafting somehing. An interest in butterflies, aliens, rocks, flames or even just a specific color might now be developed into somehing cool that my sim can make a small living from, even without a dedicated skill.
