Looks like I have my work cut out for me to make the best of this pack.
It might also be that you need to really work at your career rather than just trying it out after a few hours practice as the game-changers have been forced to do, so some Simmers might find their gameplay enjoyment doing that. He might also not be very good at decorating!
He might not use it but I've noticed a few of the game-changers using the MCCC mod and wonder if that needs a bit of updating.
I'll be buying it for the objects mainly but like the idea of it. I don't like to rush gameplay, love looking around others' houses, so taking things slowly, finding likes and dislikes will suit me.
I saw some of them doing that.
In a rush to get through it, they were using the mod to advance time, career level, and other cheats.
They shouldn't be using any mods at all if they are reviewing it. I don't believe their mods can be blamed for all the bugs however.
I think his point was that you don't need to be good at decorating because the game cannot recognize it.
Just toss the required items in the right style and color and they will love it no matter how horrible the room looks.
I'm really talking about stuff that I will have to do to overcome the weaknesses of this pack.
One of those being that so many sims will have likes and dislikes that make no sense for them, so you will probably be creating nonsensical designs.
So my work around will probably be getting to know the sims first (Careers, traits, etc) and then editing them for likes and dislikes before beginning the Home Decorator process. I am also editing sims now, but there are too many to get them all in time.
I hope it works for you. It looks like I might start a new game as sorting out likes and dislikes for over 200 Sims might be a bit daunting for me in my old Saves. Easier to edit and add them one family at a time from CAS as I like to use my own and not from the Gallery.
I love this sort of thing though (they all end up with many more choices of outfit) and having all the packs, except Bust the dust I hope there'll be more likes and dislikes to choose from. There should be some reward for those having them all, surely.
