Homeless Sims, how to raise Hygiene?

Hey guys, long story short I love making my sims have some serious money and homelessness going on. They basically "live off the land" that's also a retail lot in Windenberg Island, and sell items that make 1-3 simeleons per. (low quality books and paintings and 5% and such) They slowly build enoughb money to buy things that make their life easier, like a toilet or rock fireplace thing. They don't pay bills, and can't use any electricity or water because of that.

My question is, any way to build up their hygiene? I can't have them pay the bills regularly as their income comes in slowly and once they get to a certain point I'd like some way to build it a little lol. I thought laundry would be it, but apparently it wont work on the retail lots, or at least I haven't been able to I do have some mods. My way right now is when it rains hard enough they can shower in that lol. There's also the "deodorant" from the outdoor pack, but with seasons I can't always use it lol. It's not the hugest thing, but any suggestions guys?

edit: all the lots are deleted and I don't want to use community lots either, that's too easy! Prefer to keep it on the one retail lot as well.
