Just wanted to share that the horse/mini animal objects work off lot. I made this huge ranch in Henford using the space off lot. All of it works. You can interact with the shed (a tooltip pops up when you hover the invisible shed). My sim was able to upgrade it. I have a club of ranch hands and they autonomously interacted with them. Cows aren't able to move around freely. You have refill the food in the shed every other day.

Thanks! I'm having a blast playing this lot. I want to fill in all the empty areas with more animals but I'm at max capacity to take care of them all. lol...the guy and his wife have their own club each of ranch hands so I can have a 24hr operation. :D

You can also refill the food in the shed with prairie grass, iirc.
