I was able to use @mcrudd 's invisible animal sheds to get a more natural look and place them off lot. You can see the cows in the upper middle. You can interact with the shed (a tooltip pops up when you hover the invisible shed). My sim was able to upgrade it. I have a club of ranch hands and they autonomously interacted with them. The actual ranch hand cleaned the shed. This is awesome!
