Horse Ranch: ride without saddle

I was hoping for a work around so the horse itself remains cc free. But it's good to know as a last resort if no one else knows how to remove it.

Cas spawned one horse without a saddle. As long as I don't add one, I can use this horse. So it should be possible.

Just in case anyone ever want to ride bareback without a mod, there does seem to be a workaround.

Use the cheat to get the sim ID of the horse
Sims.get_Sim_id_by_name {FirstName} {LastName}
Mount the horse and while mounted, enter the following cheat.
Traits.remove_trait trait_Horse_Gameplay_Mounted {SimID}
Go into livemode, select on the horse -- horse care -- change outfit. You can now select the everyday outfit.
Optional: The cheat above removes reins. You can get them back with this ID
Sims.add_buff buff_HorseRiding_AppearanceModifier_Reins {SimID}

This needs to be repeated everytime you mount the horse so it is not very practical but for a few screenshots, it will do for me.

TheKalino has mods to individually remove saddle and/or bridle, and/or stirrups that can be used per each horse in any combination. The choices are found in the saddle/bridle pane in CAS, so it is easy to make your choices.

Good to know. I just wanted to share the workaround I found online for those who don't want or can't use mods. (Or like me want to limit mods to the bare minimum)

I agree. It should have been an option in the game. Why not let players choose.

Can you not just remove them from the riding outfit in CAS, like you can any other clothes?
