Hotel Resorts expansion pack

I feel like I have answered this before, but as this is my one wish for another pack let's hope someone listens this time around and we can finally get what we need to make this type of pack awesome! For me, it's a lot less about things that are pretty in a hotel, but the functions of a pack, so here goes: 

Ownable hotels
I want to be able to own and run hotels, the way we can own other businesses. I also want to design my hotels to suit my needs, be it a b&b, a sleezy motel, a cabin in the woods or a large beach side resort, I want all of them to be supported. Which also means...

Multipurpose lots 
Without multipurpose lots, hotels are fairly useless. I want to be able to rent out a room in my sim-home, or have a resort with spa-facilities, gym, fancy restaurants, cafés and shops... For this to work we need to be able to combine lots. 

Vacation activities: 
Owning a hotel is one thing, but visiting the hotels is just as important. They need to be able to be run by NPCs and be made functional from BB-mode, and the activities while there needs to be satisfying and in depth. As much attention to running a hotel and experiencing one needs to be made. Activities for different kinds of holidays, honeymoons, winter vacations, nature vacations, sun and relax vacations... 

Aspirations and traits
I want aspirations and traits connected to owning a hotell and travelling, from the explorer type to the resort luxury type aspirations. 

Updated pools
Slides, trampolines, pool toys, pool bars, submersible hot tubs that can be in the ground or in the pool. 

Updated buffet table 
Where you can choose dishes, that adjust to time of day (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and that works automatically on hotel lots. 

Hobbies and ability to set up classes
I'd love the ability to set up lessons and classes for activities and hobbies. Like pottery classes (with new pottery skill) or painting/archaeology/woodworking/knitting classes or whatever else. 

Updated museums 
Updated museums with more activities and a new base game career as a museum curator. Ability to give or take guided tours in museums. Souvenirs and poster and post-card versions of paintings or local attractions (from all worlds) that can be bought in museum gift-shops and collected. 

Cross-pack combability

• Get together: club activities for travelling or running a hotel.
• Cats and dogs: the ability to allow or disallow pets at the hotel
• Laundry day: laundry service at the hotel
• Jungle adventure: archaeology artefacts in more worlds, rather than just one. (Ancient roman in Tartosa, medieval European in Windenburg, ancient japanese in Mt Komorebi...) No need for their to be a full adventure, but things that could be dug up and authenticated. Replicas sold as souvenirs. 
• Growing together: Milestones connected to travelling and/or owning a business. First trip to another world. Vacationed in... Travelled the globe (after/if all worlds are completed). 
• Horse ranch: The ability to rent out horses, or house horses that aren't yours in a stable, or run a riding class teaching others to ride. Group rides where they ride together. 

My most wanted things since we still didn't get actual hotels this year

1. A beach town world based on the Caribbean islands, mostly Barbados, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago
2. Reggae radio station (I still STILL want that radio station most of all so I need my radio station wishlist completed)
3. Foods from the Caribbean islands

Hotels top my EP wish list. I'm really hoping we get them next year. Things I want in this pack beyond the ability to visit and/or own a hotel.

Pool items- pool bar, pool slides, more splash park items

Food options- long buffet table with ability to set up for different meals. I want to be able to serve breakfast. A floating breakfast tray. Room service. Ability to set up an icecream social and an afternoon tea.

Resort activities- ability to schedule resort activities such as a pool side party with dancing and maybe treats like smoothies and pool side activities, maybe hoola hoops. Some sort of crafting option maybe guest can create ceramics or flower crowns. Mini golf

Ability to run an on-site restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop could be click able stands that sims purchase items from provided it gives the option for some unique souvenirs. 

Photography- updated family and couples poses to help remember those honeymoons and family trips.

Location- something with a beach. Having a mountain neighborhood with activities like tubing sort of like snowy escape but with warm weather activities would also be cool but the other TWO neighborhoods need to be beach front. Hiking paths. Can we finally get a walk hand in hand option?

I came up with something else. How about new interactions? Topics of discussion that would be tied to various holiday related issues. Such as where to go on holiday, what type of holiday to have, or remembering a holiday you did have?

• Discuss favourite holiday destination (friendly)
• Discuss next vacation destination (friendly)
• Argue about next vacation destination (mean)
• Share a vacation story (group story)
• Reminisce about vacation

A new object could be a photo album, where sims could put their photos (alone or as a group activity) and look through to remember and reminisce. 

Social bunny could also have more threads (so combability with high school years): 

• Make a post about how awful/boring/fantastic/beautiful/fun the vacation is. Different "posts" depending on what emotions are chosen. 
• Make posts about upcoming vacations (so excited about the vacation...)

People could also have vacation type preferences (likes and dislikes) which could affect combability (growing together).  

• active holidays (doing sports, climbing mountains, diving, snorkling, jetskiing...)
• sun-soaking holidays (beach, pools, suntanning, swimming)
• winter-holidays (snowboarding, skiing, sledding)
• outdoorsy holidays (camping, horseback riding, exploring...)
• learning/exploring holidays (increasing skills, exploring the jungle, archaeology, treasure hunting, digging for collectables/rocks...)
• romantic holidays (any romantic interaction)
• foodie holiday (try new cuisine, learn new recipes, go to restaurants, try local food stalls)   

I really want hotels too.  But first I would like them to fully fix the lot problem  ( white screens for towns, exclamation points etc.).  That came with For Rent.  I don’t want to have to worry about changing lot types and having game breaking problems .  I have 10 year old games.

what I want to see with a Hotel pack:

1.  I want to see ownable and non ownable Hotels ( in the style of Dine out ).

2.  I want to be able to have a CASINO resort vacation.  Slot machines, cr*p tables, roulette, and betting on poker games. At least 4 activities like these.  I loved making hotel casino’s in one of the past games.  Maybe they could include being able to have an open food stand on the lot too.  How about a stand ( with NPC ) that sells snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn in a bag, and Cinnamon rolls?  And another stand that sells fountain soda’s, barbecue sandwiches, fries, and corn on the cob.  I would so love to see these animations with my sims eating them!  They made eco living where you can have two open stands in a community lot, so I think they could do this!

3.  ARCADES. New arcade games, single and multi player.  I think a car racing game where you sit in a little car with a big screen up front where you can race with up to 4 other players ( either present or not present ), then I would also like some 2 player video games in an arcade style game like tha one in Get Together  ( we should have games that all look a bit different ), even if it is just outside variations of an arcade game, so it can look like we have different games.

4.  LARGE BUFFET TABKES ( like others make mentioned ) which can be changed from breakfast, to lunch,  to dinner.  But is open 24 hours .  It is a sims vacation!

5.  I want to have a CARNIVAL LOT TYPE with games you can watch your sims play like they played in a past sims game ( can’t remember if it was sims 1 or 2 ), where you can watch your sim compete at popping baloons,  racing little horses, ringing a bell,  and maybe a little roller coaster you can see your sims ride on. At least 4 activities.  And, be able to win tickets to buy all kinds of souvenirs, that could take the place of collections in this pack.

6.  I’d like to see some ACTIVITIES that we can use at home, or take to a beach or park like volleyball,  buckets and shovels for babies and toddlers to play in the sand. they could include things like pool slides and pool games,   They could take an activity live someone else mentioned, mountain climbing ( from Snowy escape ), but in warmer weather.  They could add a new activity like surfing on a beach lot.  

7.  We could have different types of weather at the different neighborhoods.  Warm weather at a beach neighborhood.   Medium temperatures at a lake, water skiing with a boat would be a nice activity.  Snowy weather at a casino/ski resort ( bringing skiing and snow boarding from snowy escape ).  I would love to see another jungle where we could dig for simple artifacts. And please could we rent horses if we have horse ranch?? My city slickers really want to be able to take a vacation where they can rent horses for beach walks and such.

overall though I want to also be able to LIVE IN THE WORLD too, and be able io add other lots  like cafe’s, pool lots, etc.  I have archeologist sims that are so sad they can’t live in Silvadorado.

and NO RABBIT HOLES  please!

We need more water sports in general and boats to live on.

Hotels are probably the biggest thing I would want in-game right now! Basically For Rent, but make it a hotel! 

I’d love to be  able to place them in vacation worlds like Selvadorada and Granite Falls also, but I’d love to specific activities like other people have mentioned, room service, Aquariums (as mentioned!), ownable lots, but also the ability to categorise what kind of hotel your sim is offering or staying at. Is it a bnb, resort, hostel, etc… I’d like to choose! 

And, of course, tasks and chance cards which affect your star rating! 

This is a pack I wanted for years haha. The only issue is I see how less and less content EPs are getting as of late so it makes me wonder how much it'd actually offer. For me these are the key features/ideas it would need to be a proper hotels expansion:

1. This the biggest one: BG needs an update to make multi-purpose lots. IMO, if they could get vendor booths and certain items such as things from Dine Out to automatically spawn on any lot regardless of lot type like TS2 does. OR maybe even with hotels you can specifically add like lot challenges that allow you to hire every NPC you want to spawn on that lot and they work at their respective stations? idk how it would work best.
2. The game play from the perspective of both the owner AND the hotel guest needs to be robust enough.  There should be challenges when it comes to being a resort owner and you should be able to choose what amenities your hotel offers. A hotel guest should have enough to do at the hotel that they don't feel the need to leave the lot to have fun for a weekend. 
3. Water Activities: This part I find tricky because some things that you may do at a beachside resort, such as jetski riding, are tied to IL and they seem to refuse to give us any other ocean activities in this game. They would need to change this and finally give more to do, such as canoeing, maybe beach volleyball or something
4. Hotel activities: Hotel pool-bar, pool waterslide, giftshop station that actually looks similar to a register counter so it can be placed inside so you can design your own giftshops, room service, bars with drink specials, similar to how TS3 did it, food buffet tables that sims can pay a fixed price and have all-you-can-eat buffet, rabbithole tours would even be cool it it has pop ups and you get action choice (like TS2 offers)
