Yes, you can save the household by choosing "Change Sim." Then, click on the folder with the arrow in the top right. You can save them publicly (by clicking the cloud in the bottom left) or privately (by clicking the folder on the bottom right). This only saves the household, though. To save their home, you need to go into build mode. Then, click on the folder with the arrow on the top of the screen. Again, you can save this publicly or privately. Saving publicly will allow you to access them from another computer, but it will also allow others to see your creations.
