How Can Cars Function In Sims 4?

Yes I'd buy that pack. If you ever played Sims 2 (and even Sims 1) you can have some indication of how cars worked and can work in Sims 4.
Personally I want them more so my sims can have a hobby where they build cars, fix them up or wash them. I'd love for a sim to have or run an automotive garage.. even if I just do that myself somehow with tools provided to us. I hope we get some sort of mechanic job also.. and of course I'd like to have animations in the cars like maybe playing the radio, pulling in and out and the ever popular woohoo. Oh ... I can't forget probably one of the main reasons... simmers build garages and put fake cars in front of them all the time for looks. I want that variety of working cars to actually put out in front of the homes and variation in price and looks.

@Hermitgirl I have never played the sim 1 or 2. I'd be cool if it was a hobby or skill and not just something that leads into a loading screen. And if it was only for decorative purposes the bb.showliveeditobjects game us the over world cars. But sifting through the debugs objects is a pain.

Yes in Ts2 expansion freetime you buy a junk muscle car and work on it until it looks brand new. And can paint it different colors. This car isnt available in normal buy mode. It is part of a hobby.

I dont see TS4 adding cars but if they do they should add an option like this!

I want fancy cars and also the helicopter back just so I have ways to spend Simoleons. Right now it’s too easy to make money and too hard to spend it.

To answer the title of the tread , like in Sims2 :) (restorable car, I have car dealership in TS2 what restores freetime cars and sells the fixed cars! Place to woohoo, those are parked in front of community lot when you travel with those.. and lots of more)

A game expansion pack with a neighborhood that features vehicles. Mountain biking in the forests, dirt racing tracks, street racing. Bring your customised car to the starting line and try it out.

Doesn't need to be big. 3/4 lots like magnolia promenade. And the lots are customisable depending on the scenario we want.

Can't say as I'm that bothered. By that I mean it's not ruining my gameplay not having them; I'm playing quite happily without them. If, however, they made a comeback with the ability to fix them up as a hobby then I'd be interested, definitely. Overall though, they wouldn't add much for me. I don't see them as 'vital'.

I played TS2 and 3 so I can see how they would function and I wouldn't mind having that back at all. I wouldn't specifically buy a pack for it though, I'm not that into them. If they came with an EP I was interested in along with other things, I would see them as a bonus and I would use them.

There are many ways to implement them. Could simply have entering them be the trigger for the loading screen, and if someone goes to work then they have to sit in a car that picks them up (like in the previous games) instead of vanishing into thin air at a specific location.

What I would do to get my sim an old '50s model: a sleek red, chrome plated work of art! With the beautiful graphics TS4 is capable of, I'm sure that would turn out looking super good.
