How Can I Let Go Of The Maid?

My Sims household hired a daily maid so she can clean the house but after awhile I observe she was slacking from her job and my Sim had her fired and wanted to hire another maid but seems like the maid will never leave the house. It keeps on getting in and out of the house and keeps waving goodbye but will not even leave at all. I am so pissed with this. What should I do? I tried repairing the game to no avail. Should I move my Sims household elsewhere and bring them back again?

    first thing I'd try: testingcheats on, shift click the maid, reset

    if that doesn't work I'd just go to manage worlds and delete her.

    My problem with the maid was she never showed up while my Sims were at home. I'd send my Sim to another lot for whatever reason, and get charged upon returning. Rarely did I ever see the maid. I stopped using them after that. Now, if my Sims can afford it, they hire a butler.
