@Serendipity38 In live or build mode you should see a lightbulb icon in the upper right hand corner. That takes you to your library, which is the far right tab, and the gallery which is the far left tab. When you select something from the gallery to download, there is a down arrow in the right lower corner that allows you to place the lot, household or room directly into your game. This will place them, but not save them to your library. To do that, select the down arrow in the left lower corner. They are then saved to your library. You can then download them to your game at any time by selecting them, then selecting the down arrow at the right lower corner.
