How do I earn Vampire power points?

Question

Hi simmers :)I am playing a vampire sim again and find it a bit different this time round. Last I played was the release of vampires. I have a hard time earning vampire power points. I only got some while skilling up with the vampire lore books and studying on the computer, but that is all maxed now. I managed to earn some when receiving training but I don't earn any for winning spars, drinking from sims or plasma packs. It seems as if I just stopped earning them all of a sudden. How do you guys earn the vampire power points ? Thanks in advance for any advice :)

From what I remember there's a power bar at the bottom of your sims sim panel. As the bar fills up you get points. To begin with you get them every 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% times the bar is filled, if that makes sense? But once you've reached the top level of vampirism (I think it's grand master) you have to fill the bar fully to receive points. Like the poster above says those things all fill the bar, but it will slow down as the levels get harder.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you and it's some kind of glitch.

I think the easiest way is to spam the computer interaction to research information about vampires or whatever. I was under the impression that it could be done endlessly, unless that was patched out.

It might be because I use MCCC to speed up skill and power gain, but I get my vamps to spam the research and they are Grand masters in no time. Its just a more hassle-free way of gaining power, instead of having to find other sims to use your powers on, like sparring. I just plop them down in front of the computer for a few sim-hours, and they're done.
