How do I get rid of this present pile?

Question

I've never seen this before, but I found it while I was decorating for Winterfest and placed it under my tree. Now that Winterfest is over, I'm putting all the decorations into storage, but I can't move or delete this object. It functions normally in live mode, acting like any other pile of presents, but I don't want it sitting in this corner forever. Any idea how to get rid of it?

You could also have your Sim(s) open them until you get the image of the wreckage (opened, empty boxes, et al). From there you can throw it away. What I found impossible was the huge pile of gifts, Father Winter left my family. I think I just dragged it into the Household inventory.
