How do I get this specific painting?

Sorry if this is in the wrong category, I'm not sure where to post asking about this.

I played sims 4 many times, and I often have an artistic sim who paints. I don't remember at which point the artistic sim could paint this specific painting. But the painting is one of my favorites! It's a red background, with a grey colored girl standing in the center of the canvas. She stands with her arms by her sides. Her dress is grey too I think. I think there's also black lines on it as well. It's Gothic in style, very spooky but pretty. I don't know at which artistic level the artistic sim can paint this or what category of painting that'll make the artistic sim paint it. It might be random but I think I gotten in twice from 2 different playthroughs. But I don't have it painted in my current playthrough.

I don't know if the environment effects what the sim will paint or nor, or if it matters if the artistic sim has family members. I don't think those factors matter. But I'd love to have that painting again. I play the vanilla Sims 4 game on PC. No mods at all. This painting is an ability the sim can paint. I just would love to know if I can manipulate my sim into painting it. She's an adult (I think I haven't played in a long time), she has a wife (NPC), 2 kids - one daughter in teens and a toddler son, both adopted at different times. The family lives in Willow Creek, which is the sims 4 world I usually have the family live in cause it's very pretty. I don't know if any of that matters. My artistic sim is very high up on her art skills, might be maxed out, I can't remember.

I hope I gave enough information and other simmers know which painting I'm talking about. If anyone know the painting, and knows what they did to get their artistic sim to paint it, please let me know, so I can have my painter make it again :D Please be kind, and thanks in advance for any help :D

  • Sounds like it could be an angry or sad painting. But I am not sure. Get your sim in one of those moods and see what they do when they paint that type of painting. Was it in the medium size? I think if it was a different size, it must not be an emotional painting because they only come out in the medium size. Hopefully someone knows for sure and can help better!

Thank you. That sounds like a good place to start! I can't remember, but I think it was a medium but it's might be a large, cause I think it was a tall canvas. But yes, emotional painting is a good place I could start to go for it! I'll let you know if it works!

which would help in identifying it. Good luck and happy simming!

I'm not surprised if I mistaken what the background was since it was so long since I played! Thank you for this link! I looked through the list, and I believe the one I desire is the 6th one of the Large Pop Culture paintings! And omg, there's so many paintings I've never seen my sims ever paint! So many I haven't seen cause they continue to paint the same ones after a while, but omg, thank you even more for the link! Now I know there's many more paintings that can be made than I ever knew of x3 I'm eager to see if I can collect the remaining paintings that my sim hasn't painted yet!

Since it's possibly Large Pop Culture I'd have to make her keep painting until she paints the right one. Oh well, I can make her a art room with food and bathroom so she'll have to make it eventually XD Thanks! And the cat gif filing is so cute lol.

You're more than welcome! It also helps if your sim picks up on the Painter aspiration, and don't forget you can always immediately sell the paintings that are completed!

I'm positive she has the painter aspiration, being a painter for a job I believe, cause I based her off of me, so I wanted her to be artistic like me :3 And I know I can sell the paintings as soon as they are done, but you know, sometimes the sim wonders off to do something else rather than immediately sell art. Lol. But I'm trying to make a collection of all the paintings! So I can view all of them in my sim house! And there's so many that I didn't know existed so I'm more excited about getting back in and trying to get her to paint all the paintings in the game x3 Thanks for all the help! I didn't know there was a listing of the paintings made before I made this discussion! Good luck with your simming too!

I believe that is a "Confident" painting.

Well from the link that list out all the paintings from aldavor, it's not under the "confident paintings. But according to that list there's a ton of paintings I've never seen painted before. Lol, so it'll be fun to try to get my sim to paint all the paintings possible

I think a lot of it has to do with skill levels that are hidden. For instance, I had a sim who was a painter many saves ago and I had her specialize in pop art paintings, so the more she painted them the more I saw different paintings that I hadn't before.

Hm, okay, so she would start painting Pop Culture paintings without you telling her to? Did you make her paint certain categories often or just let her free roam and paint whatever category she wanted?

I don't know if I've seen a pattern of paintings with my artistic sim, but I think I haven't seen any different paintings from the last times I made her paint. She'd just make more of the same paintings she already painted. I know that cause I keep a copy of all the paintings she makes and have them hung around the house. I'm disappointed when she remakes old paintings, cause I wanted to see new paintings. And before I knew of the list of paintings, I thought she was repainting some paintings cause it's a random loop for whichever she'll paint and it's just recycling. But maybe, if I keep making her more artistic she'll make the other paintings I haven't seen yet, I hope
