How do I put down spas and diners and how do they work?

So I have the spa day and dine out packs. I am wondering how to place them in the world? I missed the opportunity when the game asked me to when I first played it after installing the packs :( I am wanting to put them in Newcrest since that world is empty! I am guessing I go to the gallery and search for them? But what about working in them? I know diners can have employees but do spas also have them? Also does it matter if the spa/diner is made by maxis will it have employees or not?

    The builds that come with the pack are available in your library to place wherever you want them. I did the same thing when I got Spa Day then worried I missed my chance.

    You have go to manage worlds and click on the lot you want to place it on. Select build mode icon to enter the lot and change the lot designation from residential ( or whatever ) to spa, cafe, restaurant or anything else on the drop down list. Then ( while still on the lot ) open the gallery and select which buildind you want and place it. After that you can edit the menu, dress code and uniforms.

    The spa will have NPC employees. I think the diner will too if you want to use it as a restaurant to go to instead of owning and running it as a business. But I haven’t played with Dining Out yet so I don’t know for sure.

    The spa and diner will have employees. I’ve made my own and plopped down some created by maxis and they always have employees. Just head over to library to find the prebuilt ones or build your own and employees will spawn. No need to worry about the that.
