How do you celebrate birthdays?
I believe this might depend on whether you play legacy or on rotation, but even if playing a larger number of houses you might spend some time on certain families and their growing ups. I just prep...

I try to make my sims birthdays special (I play the long lifespan so birthdays come by rarely, lol).
Everyone gets a party, a cake, a makeover, a redecorated bedroom.. kids normally go bowling, young adults go to the club, if it's winter where their home is i'll take 'em to the beach, sometimes they go to a resturant (depends on their style too; can't imagine loner, snobby sims going to the club, lol). I like to get all the family invited over and I use the tripod that came with the moschino stuff pack to get various pictures of the family together (then i make copies and gift them so everyone has some). I decorate a little bit; put in a bar, maybe some streamers and balloons. I always have parents give gifts to their kids and teens but I don't bother with anyone else, lol, though I've never done it before but I don't see why we can't use the gift pile that seems to be for Winterfest for a birthday sim?
