How do you feel about the household size limit?

I'm okay with it. I can't imagine managing a larger household in practice - I find 6 to be about my top-end comfort zone. And it seems to me it would slow the game down more than it's worth. At least they made it sort of moddable for Simmers.

lol, since my max house limit is usually 2 or 3, I am totally fine with it.

It's fine for me 99% of the time. There has been one occasion where I had a full house of sims and really needed a cat for the storyline I was doing.

It mostly bothers me that we can only have 8 sims including pets, whereas in TS3 you could have two pets that didn't count against the human sim limit.

With pets in the mix, 8 really isn't all that many. I've never personally had a reason to need to go over 8 in my games, but I've come close before there were pets so imagine it is just a matter of time. When we first got cats and dogs, I was disappointed they counted against the limit of sims in the household. They really should have added a few slots just for pets.

I regularly throw parties in my sims homes where I invite as many sims as the game lets me, and performance is no different then when it's just the household sims, so I don't see why they can't give us more slots.

I usually play rather large families in the Sims, so 8 can be quite restrictive. I do have it "increased" but that can cause all kinds of issues in this one. Maybe just kill the issues? That would be nice.

Since the cats and dogs EP came out I catch myself wanting more slots for family members.

I would like a larger household size just to separate out cats and dogs. 8 sims is a lot to manage and I think it's good there, but you don't manage cats or dogs so it gets frustrating if I want: My grandparents to live with their children's spouse and grandchildren. That usually means I can't breed my pups!

AKA. I just want separate pets "household"

I usually like to play a full household, but sometimes I just really want to increase the limit, yanno? Even if it was just to 10, that’d work for me.

It's fine for my purposes. Though I won't say it's totally fine since a lot of people seem to want more.
