- LoriTSp7 years agoSeasoned VeteranI generally have my Sim visit several households with eligible candidates to see if there's any chemistry. If there is, I'll have my Sim invite them over and go from there. If that fails, than I will either make a partner for them or download one from the gallery.

- Celticgamer07 years agoSeasoned AceI am loving the different ways you guys find partners for your sims ^.^
- Find someone who will accept their affection :(
Serious I had a sim who had to go though 3 different guys as all of then would accept the standard simple romantic interaction but never the more advance romantic interactions to really help push the relationship. Luckily she eventually found a guy who did and nlw they are married and he was even non committal. - I pay attention to who they're interested in, or who's interested in them.
I had one girl who was always reading Lucas Dark and Love In The Time Of Sandwiches. She was going out to have fun and find some friends/romantic interest. The problem was, every guy that appeared on lot was focused/energized. She couldn't flirt with them. Once she told some bold pickup line, guy got flirty, but nothing from that. Also she got angry moodlet from that line, since she's hothead. Anyway, she lived with rommies she was great friends with. One of them was public enemy and boss. Yeah, they married, didn't see that coming. - Childhood friends, typically. Or go to a bar and meet someone. Sometimes they just don't hit it off though so I try someone else.
I do miss the attraction system of Sims 2! - BlueSeaWaves7 years agoLegend

Am guilty of this as well :D I did one time find a townie who was beautiful! I thought she was a premade so I looked up her name on the wikia and it turns out she was a townie! After a sim week of looking for her everywhere I found her and started dating her. After a few dates though she told me she was an alien and I don’t like aliens so I broke things off with her. Having said that, one of my earliest sims did find a random townie to make his wife. He's a criminal, evil, baddest of the bunch, but somehow charming too. I'd have him go to lots and cause trouble, being mean to everyone, starting fights and creating all around chaos. Well one lady was interested in him despite the rest of the bar all seething with rage at that point. I think he was mean to her a few times too  Romance blossomed easily, so I had them get together and they ended up with 5 children pretty quickly (he has a secret 6th child too). He occasionally strays from his wife, but he's a very dedicated father.
The rest of the time, I create a sim, dump them in a town and have them meet randomly while they're out and about. I do mean random, no facilitating meetings, invites to the same clubs and parties or introducing one to the other. If they take too much work to get together (it happens), then I'll create another and let the other one find someone else. It doesn't usually take long.
