how do you get triplets?

On top of what you already do you could try getting a fertility massage if you own Spa Day and I believe there's a fertile trait you can buy with aspiration points.

Well I've done it trhought cheats a few times.
Use the Cheat Console by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C. Input the cheat code testingcheats true and type the following:

sims.get_sim_id_by_name {PlayedSimFirstName} {PlayedSimLastName} Get the pregnant Sim's ID
pregnancy.force_offspring_count {simID} {amount} will force the amount of babies your pregnant Sim will have.
Even thought it doesn't always work, sometimes it gives me twins, you can also download mc commander from mod the sims and you can use the pregnancy module to make your sims have triplets. And if you get it, make sure you get the pregnancy module! :D

I bought the fertility trait from the reward store for one of my sims once and she ended up having two sets of triplets. I've had another one have twins and then a set of triplets and then another set of twins (it was a huge family). It works pretty well and chances are high to have triplets, at least in my experience.

I've tried both the fertility reward and the fertility message at the same time and neither worked I've just gotten twins.

It's very random so I'd go for a mod. I had a female Sim get the Fertile trait (the guy also got this trait), get a fertility massage and she still had only one baby. I moved her to another lot with just her boyfriend, so lack of space wouldn't be a problem, but that happened. Back around the time Get To Work was released I got twins very often so I don't know if they've lowered the chances lately.

is there anyway to tell if the pregnancy force cheat does work?

I'm making my sim watch the kid's network, read kid's books, i got her the fertile treatment/reward trait, and gave the lot the "On ley line" lot trait. I really hope doing all of these work, because i REALLY want triplets. My best friend has gotten them twice by getting the fertile trait, and she says that triplets are rascals, who darn near get taken away. I still want them, regardless...

My Sim had triplets on the first go. I had just bought city living and the apartment I lived in had the "on ley line" trait, and the magic happened or should I say the nightmare....it was horrible. I find the Sims 4 is very difficult for raising Children, I have never had one reach older than a toddler lol, I end up quitting the house or whatever. The triplets was unbelievably hard, I did raise them till a toddler, then left that house lol

Created two sims, bought both of them fertile reward trait and they lived on a fertile lot.
