How do you guys do it if you want to level up multiple skills for a sim?

My sims are like me, they don't have a schedule at all. So, when grinding skills, they just grind until they either burnout or max out. They have meals sporadically, and sometimes they only get an hour of sleep before work, if they even have a regular job. I play the game more like an RPG than a life simulation. LOL!
