How do you know which room to renovate?

I just picked the teen's bedroom and did her younger brother at the same time as it was right beside it. They don't tell you and it doesn't seem to matter.

Room Renovation: This is the simplest type of gig that you’ll be starting out with. Clients will ask you to redesign one room in their home for them. Sometimes they will ask you to renovate a specific room in their home, like their child’s bedroom or the kitchen. Other times, they’ll let you pick which room in their home needs the most help.

I don’t get that bit, the interior designer can choose the room?
I wouldn’t call a professional to book them for a Reno and then say, go on help yourself.

I know it’s a game but it’s odd to post a job and not say which room you want looked at.

it doesn't seem to matter what you do. I have watched YouTubers make horribly ugly rooms and the client seems to like the renovation no matter what.

I got two room renovations gigs so far and just went where ever the game let me... which in both cases was all over the house. I just stuck to their likes (setting those up in managed worlds first) and they loved it both times. It is kind of confusing though but the premade houses need revamped in my game so I'm working with it.

I find that it does suck to not know which room to renovate. It would be nice to be told have it highlighted SOMETHING. It’s quit annoying when they think you haven’t really done anything. It affects the reputation but the performance goes up. I love the pack don’t get me wrong I just think that’s one thing that needs to change.

I actually prefer being able to select which room to renovate. I'm better with bedrooms and bathrooms. Not so good with kitchens and living rooms.

I'm realizing I like choosing the smaller rooms so I don't get burnt out so easily. My first gig was a HUGE kitchen (Oakenstead house in Willow Creek) and it was daunting.

In one of my kitchen renovations all I did was change the color of everything already there. I didn't need to spend any of the clients money and they loved it, lmao! They live in a high end apartment and all the kitchen furnishings was top notch, so why change it out?

I was supposed to renovate one room and went in to find the whole house open to me, so I just picked one and got started. She only told me she liked green and pipe organs and hated Storybook style, so I just plopped down a pipe organ and painted the room green, then changed all the fixtures to be green. She was thrilled with that. It looked pretty gross, but whatever.
