How do you manage the family photos?

Your family probably add some photos to the walls over the years. When getting married, when first child is born, first student, first teenager job, vacations and the traditional portraits and group photos. Perhaps you even got a photo (or painting) of the long gone family founder, or other relatives who no longer live in the house. Over time the walls can get pretty packed, do you have any routine?
