I play most of my Sims as "rich" Sims simply because it's easier to for me to decorate their houses after I have already played them or placed them. Sometimes, I adjust their household funds just to build and then put the funds back to what they were beforehand. It's hard enough for me to save up for things in real life... It's even harder for me to do it in the game. For my main family, I made them purchase a photo studio so that way I can transfer money back and forth. Promotions and investments mean little when their funds are maxed out!!! As far as Sim attitudes, most of my Sims aren't snobby or materialistic, however I have a few who are. I play my main Sim Étienne as a Good Sim, so he donates his simoleons too.
