Do you have aging on?
Aging on for active household only. Aging off for townies. Turn on townie aging for one household per rotation so that they keep apace with everyone else.
Do you have story progression on?
I have it on for unplayed townie (randomly generated) households and might turn off features as necessary, such as turning off pets/kids for overflowing or aging households.
I turn on Accidental Deaths for any households I'm bored with to potentially add mpre interest/drama the next time I play them.
I turn off all moving for played sims and allow unplayed townie sims to Move In if they are friends or lovers of played sims.
I turn off kids for lovers of played sims, but you can leave Have Babies on for chance of unexpected pregnancy, I believe, so would be handy for Don's lovers, for example.
Do you play rotationally with your sims or maxis ones?
I generally play premades (both pre-placed and homeless, with Maxis Gallery sims added as needed to fill personality or age gaps).
How many households do you play at one time?
Most of the premades, except special ones like Father Winter or Mrs. C who get replaced when moved in/played. I don't mind the other Henford folk being replaced, though.
Just how do you do it basically lol
One week per household before rotating, but might change the order I play them in each rotation so they get to experience different seasons, holidays, festivals etc.
I make sure to try for babies in the early part of the week so I can birth them and name them before rotating away.
The only annoying thing is playing students and I was hoping for degree progression options so I could choose which households pause or continue. I would set roomies to progress while playing a student, and set them all off when rotated away.
