How do you preform a toast at a party?

My Sim was able to make a toast (and I don't have the Party SP) the other day while visiting a Sim and holding one of those drinks from the tray. It was under friendly interactions. I guess this came in GT? and I never noticed. The other Sim wasn't holding a drink and they were both sitting on a couch talking with each other.
