how do you switch control of sims on the same lot but in different households?

how do you do it and what is the result? for example, I had a large family and all the the kids are grown with kids. So if I am controlling a sibling on their lot and a parent or other sibling who ...

yes, the game doesn't allow teens or children to live without an adult
if you wish it nevertheless then you can use the mod by DrChillgood at MTS Orphan Children Aren't Deleted <<<
