I do this too. Most recently for example a Sim of mine had a few choices and I was not sure which way to go. Then she threw a party and the dishes started to pile up everywhere. One of the male Sims she was interested in just started to help her clean up and he did not even have the "Neat" trait. It just seemed very thoughtful and sweet, so that's the one I went with. On the other hand I currently have another Sim that I cannot decide for at the moment. So I quit playing her for now. I set her as my avatar picture, so I don't forget about moving things along for her soon.
