As others have mentioned already, autonomy can really say a lot, especially in a sim you're not controlling. Is the sim you're not controlling adding to the conversation? Better yet, do they go out of their way to interact with your sim? Does your own sim queue up socials autonomously while talking to a particular sim? Sometimes allowing your sim to take control of themselves is a good thing. Speaking of autonomy and finding potential romantic interests, one of the sims I created to play after GF came out built a friendship with Venessa Jeong incredibly fast. Let me tell you, she is one of the sweetest sims! Whenever she would see my sim in public, she'd autonomously come over to hug her or chat. And I do mean every. single. time. :lol: This is a good example of what I personally look for in potential love interests for my sims, and they've always had great chemistry.
Another thing I do is keep an eye on how quickly a friendship develops when your sim first meets another. There have definitely been instances while I'm playing where it seems like no matter how friendly and funny your sim is, the green bar just won't move very fast. Other times, you don't even have to direct much of the conversation and the sims build a friendship in almost the blink of an eye. If they get along well, seek one another out for conversation autonomously, and develop a friendship easily, you've more than likely found a great potential love interest. :smile:
