I see some different reactions in my game too. There's even different kinds of sad and angry moodlets. I just discovered a new one recently, my sim caught his girlfriend cheating and it said something like "But we are soulmates, aren't we supposed to stay together? Then why is she flirting with someone else?". It surprised me because it sounded so naive...poor fool! It changes according to their romance bar, it's a nice touch.
