Yeah I think a lot of us might have thought it would be an option on the window all the time, but apparently its only an option on the window when you get an invite to sneak out, and even then they recommend you lock the door. That is how we learn things I guess, I never used it so did not know until now ;)
It’s a shame it doesn’t work without having the option to sneak out
