How far away from home do you send your Sims?

I play one main game with a large rotation. My sims can go anywhere at any time, however some sims tend to go to certain locations more frequently. Like my fisherman living In Brindleton Bay currently goes often to Sulani to fish ( but doesn’t actually pay for a rental at night because he can’t afford it ). My DJ also goes to Sulani because I have a nightclub there with a hotel below, where his roommates can sleep do their work for the next day, eat etc.
I have a small motel under the gym in San Myshuno now too. Mainly because my one rental there is financially out of reach for some of my sims. I wish we could make an apartment a rental.
I have at least one rental in all of my towns, most are inexpensive rentals. A few are more expensive.
I have one household who lives in Willow Creek who loves vacationing in Sulani and Mt. K because they are active, and can afford it.
My Goths live in forgotten Hollow but Mortimer and sometimes the family go to San Myshuno a lot because he is a Politician.
A couple of my sims families like vacationing in Granite falls because they like the outdoors. My archeologists likes to vacation a lot in Silvadorado.
I live 2 hours from several beaches, 2 hours from a desert, About 5 hours to Las Vegas. An hour from Mountains with snow. 2 hours from LA, an hour or two from a National park, even just a few hours away from Catalina Island, about a half a days drive to San Francisco.…… so I can actually see about every world in the sims being easily traveled too, maybe with the exception of silvadorado, which is in a rainforest, even Mt.K, can be looked like as a Japanese community. And I could picture any of the other worlds somewhere not too far away, though I know they are intended to be looked at as much farther away. So fliting from one place to the next does not bother me. But for extended visits, all worlds have at least 1 rental.
Oh and so far I have looked at Batuu as a theme park. One where you can do missions and such. Are there any deaths in Batuu? I actually haven’t sent anyone there yet.
