I had no choice but to turn on the air conditioner. The Sim I have been playing has a large garden and even with his hot weather clothing on he was complaining about being too warm. Not life threatening but he was having a fit. He has the 'loves the outdoors' trait so I thought he would be happy the weather was nice. My first set of bills came in and even though they live in a modest home the weekly bills jumped from twelve hundred to twenty-three hundred for that one week. But for an outdoorsy Sim he sure is picky about keeping the temperature in his house just right. I also had a small glitch where I had to pay the bills for that one week four times. But it was the first set of bills with Seasons installed and a quick repair of the game took care of the problem.
- pinneduphair7 years agoSeasoned AceMine increased, but it seems like Brindleton Bay has a bit of a colder climate, so there were several Freezing days in winter. Didn't have any heatwaves in my first summer.
- I was living in a single bedroom house and it's bill was 5,254
I was shook. - I always play in a big house, so my bills are usually around 5,000? and even with the thermostat never being turned off, my bills still seem to be the same.

- Lustianicia7 years agoSeasoned AceMy most recent bills were $17,000... and I'm living on a lot where they used to be roughly $5,000 (before Seasons)... honestly, the amount of money the thermostat increases the bills to be is ridiculous! I expect the bills to be higher, but this increase is overly dramatic! It shouldn't cost an extra $12,000 just because I have the heat/AC on!
- I am very careful of how I use the thermostat so the bills don't increase that much. Unless there is a heatwave or it's freezing outside I don't use it, and in the moment that the temperature decreases or increases I turn it off! I don't even need to use it during spring and fall. If you are careful with this your bills should be ok!
Also try to get the frugal trait for all your sims, it helps a lot! - My first bill during winter season for my favourite household to play was 43000 simoleons :#
- My sims' bill was over 100,000. Good job I tend cheat their funds lol.
