Simmerville! I love how detailed you are in your simming. I admire it, in fact. I also use a great deal of imagination when writing about my Cantrell family, particularly Erik. Up until this specific iteration of my Sim family, I would pretty much allow the game to call the shots, if you will. This time I decided the awards should be a tad more realistic. It is entirely feasible that Erik, rising to fame as quickly as he did (another unbeatable record, in my estimation) he should receive Best New Artist. He also managed a Clean Sweep on the Big Four.
I decided rather than have him license song after song, after song, for which he would attend the Starlight Accolades Show each week and win. I would do well to stagger them. I set aside the first Sunday of Spring, Summer and Fall for these top prestigious categories: Best New Artist; Song of the Year; Record of the Year; Album of the Year.
As it happened, I was playing 7-day seasons for the first time, which granted Erik the Clean Sweep, but also messed up my timeline. I have been viewing a college Term as 1-year. Oops. Alas, I am never wholly error-free despite how I plan. LOL
To recover from my blunder, I sent Erik on his first World Tour after he graduated from Britechester-U. Since he was only seventeen years old (in my mind), he was still too young to marry his sweetheart. Plus, he is still at odds with her overbearing father. Mind you, the kid is rolling in Simoleons, but he's also a Rocker and sadly, that's what Captain Golden sees.
Thanks for this outlet. As you can see, I'm not as detailed as you. I look forward to reding how others play.
